Week 1: Introduction
  1. Discover a few pointers from 7.5 habits of successful lifelong learners and learn how to nurture your own learning process.
  2. Think of 1-3 wonderings (as questions) that you may have about "The 27 Things Adventure".
  3. Create your own personal blog and write your first post to include your wonderings along with a goal you may have for the next 9 weeks
    Week 2 Blogging
  4. If you have not already done so, register your blog with Jeanette.
  5. E-mail an invited guest and a friend, tell them about 'The 27 Things Adventure' and invite them in to your blog.
  6. Learn how to add a gadget to your blog. You may also like to read how Allannah has also set up a help page for adding bling to your bog. You can check out the gadgets Jeanette's embedded within her personal blog by clicking here.

    Week 3: Photos and Images
  7. Explore Flickr -a very popular image hosting site.
  8. Check out Mappr - take Flickr images and paste them on a map; Flickr Color Pickr - find public photos in Flickr that match a specific color and Montagr – create a photo mosaic from photos found on Flickr, Bubbleshare is another awesome photo sharing site. (Check out how bubbleshare has been used within our PeaK-ICT website).
  9. Write a reflective blog post about this week's discoveries.

    Week 4: RSS and Newsreaders
  10. Watch a clip about RSS feeds and learn how to add blogs to your Reading List.
  11. Locate and add a least five participants' of this adventure or teachers' blogs to your list.
  12. Read the most recent post for each blog, add short, informative comments and write your own reflective post about this week's discoveries.

    Week 5: Play Week
  13. Search for online image generators, text generators or image generator. You may like to try these :

  14. Take a look at some voicethread examples in education. Read what Lois has written then create your own voicethread about blogging and invite 3 friends/colleagues in to comment.
  15. Take a journey with Allanah and learn about podcasting. If you're brave enough, give it a go by clicking here then write a reflective blog post explaining how you could use any of the play week tools in the classroom.

    Week 6: Social Bookmarking and other Social 'Things'
  16. Learn about social bookmarking and discover the Delicious site.
  17. Embed a clustrmap in your blog to keep a track of your visitors.
  18. Make yourself a Voki, share your speaking avatar with a friend and then write a reflective blog post about this week's discoveries.

    Week 7: Instant Online Survey
  19. Create an online survey for your readers using Survey Monkey that is based on the content, layout and design of your blog.
  20. E-mail at least 2 new friends, participants' or invited guests to join this adventure and ask them to complete your survey.
  21. Write a PMI (plus, minus and interesting) blog post about this week's discoveries.

    Week 8: Online Applications and Tools
  22. Take a look at some online productivity tools like Zoho Writer or Google Docs..
  23. Explore sites from the Web 2.0 awards list, recommend at least 2 'tools' to another blogger then write a post about this week's discoveries.

    Week 9: Video and Downloadable audio
  24. Watch the clip A vision for K12 students. Discover Teacher Tube and You Tube - sites that allow users to upload and share videos.
  25. Find a 'powerful' video clip that focus on either Web 2.0 tools, the Digital Age and/or the 21st Century Learner and embed it into your blog.
  26. Send the links to Jeanette and 2 other participants' or invited guests explaining why you have chosen to share the selected clip.
  27. Write yourself a simple thank you note for completing the challenge and then post a SWOT summary (ie: strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) post or create a mindmap (using Mindmeister) as a reflective 21st century thinking and learner of the 27 Things Adventure.
